Icon Ring Tutorial

Have an Icon Ring from me or another streamer? Here is a simple tutorial for how to use Icon Rings on IRIAM (or other social media platforms) without a photo editing software.
Step 1: Ensure you have your profile picture of choice and your icon ring on the device you want to make the new Profile Picture on. I am using my phone for purposes of demonstration, but this method will also work on tablet or PC.
Step 2: Go to https://photopea.com/
Photopea is a free web-based photo editing program. Select "new project" and create a canvas that is the appropriate size for the icon of the social media platform you will use. On IRIAM, profile pictures are resized to 450px x 450px, however, as long as the canvas is square, the image can be used without clipping.

Step 3: In the top left of the screen, select "file" and then "Open & Place." Then, add your profile picture to the project. This will add it as a new layer.

Step 4: Repeat the "Open & Place" action, adding your Icon Ring to the project. Use the transform tools to resize the icon ring to the size of the project. Take care to make sure the edges of the design are not cut off.
Step 5: Once you have your icon & icon ring sized correctly, select the "file" option in the top left once again, and then select "Export As." This will give you several options for image format, so choose whichever you like! I choose PNG.

(Optional) Step 5.5: If you are on iPhone, the image may save to your "Files" instead of "Photos." If this is the case, view the file and select the "Save Image" option.

Step 6: Your image is now complete! If you are using the icon on IRIAM, go to the app, select "Edit Profile," and upload your chosen image. The app will then open a window to crop your image to 450px x 450px.

Finished! Now you have successfully used an Icon Ring.
This tutorial can be used for any social media site that uses round icons.
